Certegy
ChequeTone
|
Certegy (previously Equifax) provides cheque guarantee and other financial services to retailers across a wide range of sectors. Three interfaces to the service are available: straightforward voice calls to human authorisers, EPOS and ChequeTone. ChequeTone provides an IVR interface to the authorisations mainframe. Requesting details from the merchant, such as merchant number, cheque number, sort code etc. Each field is checked for errors and the request submitted to the authorisations computer. Where the request is not authorised, ChequeTone transfers the caller to a human authoriser to provide information regarding the rejection. A total of 100 ports
are distributed across the six ChequeTone IVR systems: four in Birmingham,
two in Cumbernauld (Glasgow) and two in Adelaide (Australia).
